I need to convert a number of remote, running, physical machine, each on a different site and network.
I'd like to create the same number of VM that will be run on a single vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi 5) host machine located on a different site/network too.
The question is:
is there any way to start the conversion process P2V of each remote machine without phisically transport the ESXi host in the relative (remote) location and save the created VM files on a local (remote) hard drive or NAS server?
In other words : I'd like to start the conversion process (i.e. using VMWare Go) from a central locaction and store the relative VM's files on a storage location (i.e. a NAS server) that is in the same site and network than the remote physical server to convert and, than, in a second time, transport the created VM's file to their definitive destination (i.e. by means an USB drive) that is the central ESXi host and this to avoid the very slow upload speed that affect an ADSL connection.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
