VM console on vSphere Client stops responding

Hi all,

I need help. Currently I run into a problem with my VM.  When traffic rate is high (200K packets/sec ) my VM console in vSphere Client becomes unresponsive, and I cannot ssh to my VM as well.  There is no application running in VM. esxtop shows CPU usage is maxed out.  SYS and OVRLP under vmx-vcpu-0 is high due to heavy I/O but I cannot understand why vm console and ssh becomes unresponsive.

I am running HyperVisor-5.0.0 on a system with Intel Core 2 Solo L3400 1.86GHz (single core) with 4GB Memory. My VM is configured with 1vCPU, 2GB RAM and 2 virtual adapters (vmxnet). Eth0 is management port, eth1 is used to monitor traffic at a physical port vmnic0 which is connected to a dedicated vSwitch named VM Network2:

Below is the snapshots of the configurations in my vSphere. If the snapshots are fuzzy, please see the attached file

Below is snapshot of esxtop when traffic is high and the VM console stops responding.

Thanks a lot!
