Working on load balanced Dell Equallogic iSCSI SANs, as soon MTU size is set at 9000 on all ports, get disconnect chatter at both SANs and ESXi 4.1 hosts. If I set my MTU size to 8000 or 8192 on just vSwitches at hosts, all works perfect. If only using single SAN, 9000 works on all ports perfect. Has anyone seen this before? Just want to know optimum setting without having to go through the trial and error process on hosts, multiple switches, SAN, etc ...?
