Have you check to see if the Virtual Machine can recognize other USB Devices like a ordinary thumb drive?
I'm trying to partition/copy the old hard drive onto my new laptop so I can access my old programs and information without going the route of taking it inand having the possibility of info being erased.
If you put the HDD back into the old computer will it boot to the Windows Desktop okay. If yes you could use VMware vCenter Converter to P2V it.
