PowerShell; or, I need to run a script within a guest.

I'm working with vcOrchestrator 4.2 appliance.

I have installed the PowerShell plugin 1.0. I have, although the official documentation did not state it was necessary, installed PowerShell Server.

I also followed the directions, just in case, and enabled winrm on the Windows host upon which I want to run the scripts.

When I run the built-in workflow "Add a PowerShell Host", it appears to run (with the connection being set to ssh -the log on the PowerShell Server is picking up the login-); however, it does not add the host to the list (such as when I run Validate PowerShell Host).

The log in the workflow does not show any activity, for good or ill.

I attempted to use winrm instead of ssh (with vanilla Server 2008 R2) the workflow silently failed. I have no firewall on this box, it is in a sandbox environment.

I know this plugin is really new, but has anyone had any experience with it? I have bat files that I am in need of consolidating and converting so that they may be utilized by Service Manager and Orchestrator.

Thanks,

Mitch Ullman
