I have found the following VMware KB article that appears to cover this exact problem:
However, the article is missing some critical information on this issue... The article does not state whether these alerts indicate if there is likely to be any adverse effect on the systems in question or not. Is this a real issue, that requires remedial action, or simply the misreporting of a non-issue? Also, this article refers to two MS KB articles. However neither of these two articles are relevant to my environment.
So, do we have a problem that needs to be fixed or do we just have yet another Microsoft system log error/warning crying wolf that won't get fixed until Windows 10 Server, if we're very lucky or Fortune 100?
Hi, I'm evaluating a cloud service that use vCloud Director to provide customers with their own organizations. From what I have understood I will login into my reserved space and I will create VMs freely. The problem is that I need to understand if it is possible for the provider to look at what I'm doing on my VMs because I have seen a tutorial about vCloud Director where the VDC provider can open the VCD organizations and the VMs' consoles.
Am I paranoid or have I to ask them for some assurance or internal policy statement?
Thank you.
I suggest you wait a few days. After that, if you still don't see any changes, contact VMware.
Merhabalar;
Sizin probleminiz Vmware'in uygun ethernet kartlarının birisi olmaması olabilir. Aşağıdaki linkten ethernet kartınızın uygun olup olmadığını kontrol edebilirsiniz. Başıma geldiği için söylüyorum özellikle pc'lerde onboard ethernet kartları ESXi hostlar için uygun olmuyor...

Dear,
Do you also get error messages on VMware side ?
No.
What happens if you reboot one of the machines from the cluster, do you get disks lock messages ?
No, I did not face Disk Lock message. I have rebooted the system number of time but every time i face hanged issue When I click on any Local Area Connection of 2nd machine.
How exactly did you setup the shared disk between the VM's
I followed the below instruction and Shared Disk was running fine between 2 VMs. Only Stuck when I get OUI-25031 during cluster installation.

If it is a high I/O VM it may be sensitive to Quiescing and may not be a candidate for snapshotting as the file system is paused and this can crash applications within it.
If you are taking the snapshot manually in ESXi 5.x or ESXi/ESX 4.x, deselect the Quiesce guest file system option in the vSphere Client when you are taking the snapshot.
or
This is a known issue affecting ESXi 5.x.
To work around the issue, set the disk.EnableUUID parameter to false in the virtual_machine.vmx file.
To set the disk.EnableUUID parameter to false in the virtual_machine.vmx file:
tools.conf
file, located at the /etc/vmware-tools
directory, using a text editor.tools.conf
file does not exists, create an empty file by running the vi tools.conf command.
Ciao, aggiorna tranquillamente. Non devi re-installare Windows.

Thx, for your reply, but HP SPP 2014.09 does not support my G5. Only HP SPP 2014.06 support it.
Hi all,
I've been searching around for an answer to this issue for a while but haven't found anything. Hopefully someone on here can help.
I have a series of linked-clone pools deploying View desktops. Looking at the datastores for these desktops in vCenter, some (not all) have multiple folders: e.g. VMMachine1, VMMachine1_1, VMMachine1_2, VMMachine1_3. Only 1 folder will have a valid machine in it, but ALL of them have disposable disks left in 'sdd' sub-folders. As my pools have 12GB disposable drives set up in them, the wasted storage soon mounts up.
Does anyone have an idea of why these might not be removed, or if there's an easy/scripted way to find orphans and remove them from my datastores?
Thanks in advance!
Loz
Hi all,
Thought i would do a quick write up on my exam experience today (and my previous attempt). I sat the VCAP 510 DCA today.
The overall experience of the environment was rather... hmm.... fragile, very laggy, at some points would hang for a minute or two, i sat the exam in Hong Kong so i guess its hosted at the other side of the world. I would have said it cost me a huge amount to time waiting for the screen loads, minimise and reopen different elements, made even more frustration if i miss clicked or tried flicking though screens. But its not like i am the only one to mention this, so at least we are all in the same boat. One thing i would say is the passwords / device names are overly complex, especially since i had to keep opening and closing windows.
From my preperations i concentrated on the VMware documentation, Jason Nash Optimise and Scale videos (highly recommended), the unofficial study guide and the press study guide, lots of other exam experience and study notes people had put together. I ve also been working with VMware for a good few years and completed multiple deployments and upgrades.
I thought the exam was very fair, didnt hit anything that i felt wasn't seen on the blue print, as everyone says time is the killer on this, its not really enough to know the areas, you need to know the quickest way to do something, and know when to leave something going and move onto the next part so you don't spend time waiting for tasks to complete.
I built up a two node LAB at home, went over the blue print trying to work out what i could be asked and then attempted to complete the tasks, experimenting with the different ways to accomplish in the least time.
So to sum it all up:
Really good, fun exam, albeit a little frustrating in parts
Be careful with the amount of windows you have open, this really seems to slow everything down.
Its not really enough to read and know the material, id suggest practice practice practice.
Keep an eye on your time, at some points i would think i was doing really well, then a question comes along that takes some time or requires some serious thinking and suddenly you end up in panic mode watching the clock.
Also i saw a lot of people suggesting jotting down 1 - 26 on the pad and mark off completed, incomplete and missed questions, i found this really useful.
Anyone taking the Exam, good luck.. onto the next.

Good Morning Sir,
Have you upgraded your environment recently? and/or Can you let me know are you using RDMs in your environment? Have you presented RDMs to your environment recently?
If so you will need to make sure that the luns associated have had the Flag Perrenially reserved set to false -
To mark the MSCS LUNs as perennially reserved on an already upgraded ESXi 5.1/5.5 host, set the perennially reserved flag in Host Profiles. For more information, see the vSphere MSCS Setup Checklist in the vSphere Documentation Center:
vSphere 5.1 Resource Management Guide
vSphere 5.5 Resource Management Guide
Hosts hosting MSCS nodes with RDM LUNs, use the esxcli command to mark the device as perennially reserved
esxcli storage core device setconfig -d naa.id --perennially-reserved=true
Note: Stateless auto deploy wipes all settings at start so it is not possible to set the perennially reserved flag which leads to a large delay in starting. However, this esxcli command can be incorporated in a local start script.
esxcli storage core device setconfig -d naa.id --perennially-reserved=true
-----------
To verify that the device is perennially reserved, run this command:
esxcli storage core device list -d naa.id
This will have to be run on all luns with an RDM association across all hosts.
Hope this helps

hi
because we dont want to lose the data and info on it. We still want historical info and the database.
can it be done?
Hello, the 3 tier application major divided into User interface layer(UI) Business logic layer(BLL)Ddata access layer(DAL).
Now,there are two tools software powerbuilder and easerver.
The more important is you need distinguish the 3 tier I think.
Hope help you!
Hi,
I think i have found the solution to the "networking problem".
I have Hyper-V installed as role in win 2012 r2 standard. I have created VM and installed ESXi 5.5. Of course I need to add ignoreHeadless=True on boot and create customized esxi boot cd (ESXi Customizer). Also need to add vmx.allowNested=True on VM nested in esxi.
So, I created some kind of "pyramid": Hyper-V(hypervisor) -> VM(ESXi) -> VM (Win7).
At that point I came across the "networking problem"- simply put: no network connected, I cannot get IP from DHCP or set static address.
To solve this problem you need enable: "MAC spoofing" on hyper-V VM. Legacy network adapter-> advanced settings (or similar option) -> check MAC SPOOFING checkbox. Of Course you need to add "Legacy network adapter" or ESXi won't detect the adapter. I have also add "allow promiscuous mode" line in hyper V (VM configuration file). I don't know, is that necessary, but I added this "just in case"
Bellow, I present the print screens. Unfortunately, I have polish version of windows and all the settings are translated to polish. But I translated the important options to English.
After i check the "Mac spoofing" check box the network on top the VM pyramid started to work and the machine got address from DHCP.
If VM file will require to create new file, try to power off machine and disable the service in Hyper V manager. Save the file and start the service again.
I hope it helps someone.
Good Luck,
Raf
PS: Sorry for my English, I hope you understand what I mean and you will solve the issue.
