I wonder why you post this in the vSphere-forum ?
The software you mentioned is completely useless for any scenario that is about recovering deleted vmdks from a vSphere-datastore.
If you are interested in advertising your product you should know this yourself.
If you are posting this as a normal user you should have noticed this in your first attempt of using this tool.
If you post this because you just heard about somebody that has heard about a case ... sorry - that is not helpful for any user that reads this post.

Re: UM3.5 - The Usage Meter services have been restarted because of an error
I'm also facing the same issue and get the same message - "The Usage Meter services have been restarted because of an error."
I have 2 different deployments of vCenter 6.0 with Usage Meter 3.5 version in 2 different locations and both setups starting to experience the same issue recently.
Initially there were no such errors reported for more than a week of deployment but recently from last 5 days i'm getting emails every hour stating the same error message even though Usage Meter is able to run the hourly reports with no issues.
Checked the logs in /var/log/usgmtr/ & /var/log/messages as mentioned above but since I'm not a Linux expert, i was not able to find any info or errors which could suggest the cause of this issue.
To me, it looks like a bug or known issue in vCUM 3.5 since both setups have only 1 vCenter deployed for testing and have minimum load on it with sufficient resources available for vCUM to function.
Please advice on further troubleshooting or fix for it asap.

Intel pro 1000 PT not detected
I just installed a Intel pro 1000 pt dual port and it's not showing up in ESXI. I could see it in lspci but i don't see it in physical NICs.
Is there anything in particular i should do? I know this card is on the HCL.

Creating a specific view using Horizon Adapter metrics
Hello
My idea is to create the custom view which would represent the VDI users who haven't been logged in for specific period, say 60 days.
I managed to create the view which display the VDI users (VDI sessions to be more precise) statistics including "Last Logon date", but I wonder how to filter it out in the way it display only users who haven't been logged for 60 days?
Any thoughts would be really appreciated

Works for me, but that script you posted is not complete.
I used this for a test.
And when you do a Get-VIPermission on the ESXi node you should see that the new account has the Admin role.

Re: Zombie vmdk, cannot find in datastore
Flat, delta, and sesparse files are usually hidden by the Datastore Browser, and you will see only the descriptor files' names with the data files' sizes.
Anyway, the sesparse file format was introduced a while ago for Horzion View, and for snapshot files with base disks of >2TB provisioned size.
Since I also saw such files listed as zombies today, I sent an email to the RVTools author. Let's wait, and see whether he can sched some light on this.
