Alas I did in fact run into this problem with installing Windos Server 2008 R2

As well as not finding a valid vmx86.sys -- please reinstall (whiich i I did to no effect)) there was also the infamous " no peer to connect to " problem.
I have added my self the _vmware_group.
I'll try VB next. I think there is a better chance. Wiindows 2008 Server R2 guest works fine on Window 8 Hyper-V.. I'll try to insatll SBS unkder Hype-V once I uninstall VMware.
As a side note I used Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninistall VMwre - 1) It runs native uunistalled which completed successfully and then cleans up the r egistry (4 Keys, 15 Values). This means the reinstall of 8.0.2 as for the Serial Number - which I apply with success.
Should be reported to VMware as an unresolved problem
